Mattress Disposal Terms and Conditions
Vono provides a mattress disposal service as a value-added convenience for customers who purchase a new mattress from our Website, subject to the terms below.
1.1 Eligibility for Disposal
The disposal service is only applicable under the following conditions:
-The disposal request is made in conjunction with the delivery of a new mattress.
-The old mattress is of a similar size to the new mattress purchased (e.g., disposal of a King mattress with purchase of a new King mattress).
1.2 Access & Collection Requirement
To facilitate collection, customers must ensure the old mattress is in a safe and sanitary condition suitable for handling and removal.
1.3 Limitations to Disposal Service
We reserve the right to refuse mattress disposal in the following cases:
-The old mattress cannot be accessed or moved due to space limitations (e.g., narrow staircases, blocked pathways, no lift access).
-The old mattress is contaminated, heavily soiled, or damaged beyond handling safety standards.
-The mattress is not ready for collection at the time of delivery, resulting in unnecessary delay.
1.4 Customer Responsibilities
It is the customer’s responsibility to:
-Notify our team in advance if disposal is required.
-Ensure the old mattress is prepared and ready for pickup.
-Ensure safe and clear access for the collection.
Slumberland will not be held responsible for disposal failures caused by access issues, non-compliance with preparation requirements, or unsafe conditions.
1.5 Disposal Fees
Mattress disposal is offered free of charge in most standard delivery scenarios. However, Slumberland reserves the right to impose a disposal fee for:
-Non-standard access (e.g., more than 2 flights of stairs without lift access)
-Urgent, unscheduled, or return visits for mattress collection
-Additional labor required for special removal conditions
1.6 Environmental Consideration
All collected mattresses are disposed of through responsible and licensed waste management providers. As part of our commitment to sustainability, we encourage customers to dispose of their old mattresses in an environmentally responsible manner when replacing them.
